Inaugural

Angels in Action was launched yesterday, with the goal of using neighborhood outreach to offer free or very low cost pet services including wellness care, spay/neuter surgeries, and humane education.

We started with a free rabies clinic and free spay/neuter vouchers at Fire Station Number 5 (216 12th Street, NW).

The Angels in Action program is designed to keep a consistent presence in our partner neighborhoods, and as trust builds and the word spreads, pets get healthier.

One thing we learned yesterday is that a smile means the same in any language, and that a common human bond is a love for animals.

A million thanks to Tiffany Bradbury with the Roanoke City Fire Department for all her help. We'll be back at Fire Station Number 5 soon, and hope to see our old friends and meet some new.

Funny thing how when you reach out, people tend to reach right back.
