Broadening Our Horizons

Behind the scenes for the past year or so, the Angels of Assisi clinic has been offering services beyond wellness and spay/neuter, and last month we made it official. Dogs and cats needing to be seen for infections and other minor illness or surgeries can now do so in our non-profit Veterinary clinic.

It is not uncommon for people to be faced with the horrible decision to either euthanize their beloved family member, or be forced to surrender them when they cannot afford medical services- often in an emergency situation. More and more these animals are being sent to Angels of Assisi to receive the care they need.

One of latest patients came all the way from Charlotte, North Carolina, last Friday. A gunshot shattered his leg, and it was beyond repair. His owners could not afford the amputation, but good Samaritans helped him get to Angels of Assisi where he received his surgery, pain medications, and, best of all, the chance to go home and heal.

Your donations to Angels of Assisi not only go to helping homeless pets, but to keep them from becoming homeless, and staying with their families. It is something special that we are proud to be a part of, and we thank every person who has helped make it possible!
