Special Request

Ginger's owner passed away, and she was left alone for days before she was discovered and taken to the Roanoke Pound last week.

Yesterday, she experienced a medical emergency called bloat (she had the kind where her stomach actually twisted) and was rushed to Angels of Assisi for immediate surgery.

Last night was touch and go, and she was sent to the Emergency Vet for post op care. Fortunately. things started looking up this morning. We picked her up and brought her to the quietest place in the clinic, and let the healing process begin.

Authorities are still looking for family members of her owner, but we have been given the go ahead to find a foster home. The IV's are out, and she is allowed to eat small meals of special food. A couch would be a huge plus, and our main goal right now is to keep her pain free, and take the look of worry off of her face. Please contact us if you can help.
