Donations At Work

Last week, we received an email asking for help with a little dog. He had hurt his leg terribly, and his owners were faced with the hard reality that they could not afford his surgery, and needed to rehome him. Needless to say, they were heartbroken.

After getting some more information, we learned that he needed a leg amputation. We could do that. He would then need a safe place to rehabilitated and live out his life. His owners wanted nothing more than to do that. A few more conversations led to an appointment for the surgery in our clinic, and he came through the operation with flying colors, and is healing very nicely.

The mission at Angels of Assisi is developing more and more into helping people keep their pets, by offering additional assistance through medical and behavior programs. We'll continue to count on your help, and for little guys like Bandit, it will make all the difference in the world.

I believe in solidarity. Charity is so vertical. It goes from the top to the bottom. Solidarity is horizontal. It respects the other person. I have a lot to learn from other people."
