Trooper- Then And Now

There has been a lot written about Thanksgiving the last few days. We would like to thank each and every person who contributes in their own way to the animals in this world. Keep up the good fight, and be the voice for those who cannot speak.

Trooper on the day he was found:

Through recovery:

More tubes and healing:

And today:

  2. I agree with the comment about spirit and determination. He should be a poster dog for it. He looks wonderful and he is a survivor. I'm so happy to see how handsome he looks and w/o Angels, donations, support, and foster he would have never stood a chance. Thanks to EVERYONE for saving this beautiful soul.

  4. He truely is a wonderful soul! He is such an amazing animal. I feel very lucky to know him on a personal level and to have helped him to his recovery. Through everything he has never shown aggression to animals or humans. He has been mauled nearly to death and will still see any and every dog as a playmate. He has been shot in the head by a human and still greets everyone with a tail wag and a smile. I wish his pictures could show the quality of his coat now and how beautiful he really is. I believe Trooper was meant to survive to have his story told and show people that pit bulls are not terrible creatures, they are one of the most stoic, devoted and loving breeds of dog. Trooper comes to work everyday with his mom and is the most well behaved dog we have ever seen. Pitbulls are the best!!!!

SO HAPPY to see how this angel has progressed and to know that he now has a good home and all the love and respect that he deserves. I agree that he should most definitely be a poster dog!!

  6. Words cannot describe the depth of my anger towards the imbeciles responsible for this amazing dog's tormentors. This beautiful Pit Bull is aptly named--Trooper because that is what he is. Excuse me while I go dry my eyes.....

  8. I've been following this story from the beginning and it is truly heart warming. What an amazing dog and amazing people who have helped him. I can never understand why people treat dogs the way they do. This lite boy is a gift from God!
