Pocket Kittens

Today in the clinic, Dr. Eagen got a surprise with a little female cat he was preparing to spay- she was in labor. So, instead of a routine spay surgery, he performed a c-section. Three kittens were born, and since mama was a little knocked out from the surgery, staff members stepped in. A lot of rubbing, coaxing, and hopeful hearts brought the kittens around. One kitten spent some time in Kacey's pocket to keep warm, and hence they were dubbed the Pocket Kittens.

Fortunately, the owner of the cat was very understanding, and agreed to take the babies home with mama. They'll be back and up for adoption in 8 weeks. A special thank you to Dr. Eagen, Dr. Spangler, Kacey, Brittany, and Courtney for pulling them through. ♥
